On 23 August 2020 a human chain event The Road of Freedom will take place on the main road A3 Vilnius–Minsk section from Vilnius to Medininkai border crossing point.

The Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications (later – the Road Administration) has signed the contract on the installation of 112 average speed cameras on 56 state road sections. The Contract was signed with JSC Fima  for 1.9 million Euros. The installation will be completed in seven months after signing the contract.

In the period of August 17 – September 3 sixty two (62) traffic safety stops will be open in various Lithuanian cities and towns.
