Reconstruction of Lentvaris Railway Crossing Underway

SE Lithuanian Road Administration (later – the Road Administration) informs that the reconstruction of Lentvaris railway crossing is partway through. The most complicated works of pushing reinforced concrete tunnel structures under rails have been successfully completed without stopping the movement of trains.

Speeding up the Implementation of A1 Road and Via Baltica Projects

New pedestrian and bicycle pathways at the state significance roads in built-up areas will be paved according to the priority list.


Drawings to Draw Attention to Traffic Safety Issues

Six bus stop shelters have been decorated with traffic safety related drawings in various Lithuanian districts. The colours and message of the drawings aims to focus the attention of road users to traffic safety issues and to encourage them to behave responsibly on the streets and roads.


The Second Stage of State Road Lighting Upgrading Underway

SE Lithuanian Road Administration has signed four contracts with two suppliers. According to the contracts, the existing sodium vapor lamps shall be replaced by new LED type lighting during the period of 2020–2021. The total value of the signed contracts is 820 thousand Euros, with 4,526 items to be replaced.


Additional Funds for State Gravel Road Paving

The Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications (later – the Road Administration) has been allocated 8.9 million euros for asphalt paving of nine state gravel road sections. Based on the currently available funds, 1,470 km of gravel roads will be asphalt paved, i.e. ca 20 km more than it was informed in the beginning of June.
