Funds for State Road Rehabilitation

Additional funds of 7.06 million euros have been allocated to the Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications (later – the Road Administration) for the rehabilitation of seven asphalt paved state significance national and regional road sections. The funds were allocated by the order of the Minister of Transport and Communications dated 18 June under the implementation of the plan for the increase of the country‘s economic potential and alleviation of the effects of COVID-19.

In April 2020 the Road Administration submitted a list of ready-to-use projects in case additional funding was allocated until 8 May. By his order of 18 June the Minister of Transport and Communications took another decision on financing state significance road projects selected from the submitted list.

According to the data of 19 June, the Road Administration has already been allocated 34.2 million euros: 16.8 million euros for asphalt road rehabilitation, 8.5 million euros for gravel road repair and 8.9 million euros for state road asphalt paving.
